We strive to inform you of all your treatment options. Below are answers to frequently asked questions, but please call us at 713-464-2100 if you need additional information.

Q: I’m a new patient. When should I arrive and what should I bring?
You need a referral or authorization from your primary care physician to see a specialist.

We ask new patients to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. You can download, print, and complete the forms prior to your appointment and bring them your appointment. You can also email forms to jtejada@mirs.com.

Please bring the following to your first appointment:

  • Completed forms
  • A list of all medications you are currently taking
  • Recent copies of x-ray reports or a CD
  • Lab results
  • Your insurance card
  • Your photo ID
Q: How does your billing work?

We accept cash, checks, debit and all major credit cards and require payment of your co-payment and past-due account balances at the time of service.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule appointments. Missed appointments or appointment not canceled prior to 24 hours will result in a $25.00 fee. We do our best to make every effort to stay on schedule, although emergencies sometimes arise.

Q: Can I request refills?

We help patients with refill requests during regular office hours. Please call your pharmacy for a refill request or request a refill through our portal.

Q: What about after hours and emergencies?

Please call 911 if you are experiencing a medical emergency.

Contact our office immediately at 713-464-2100 if you are experiencing increased swelling and redness, severe pain, or fever greater than 101 degrees for 24 hours.

If you need after-hours advice for a medical concern, please call our office so that our answering service can assist you.

Q: What are your office hours?

Our practice is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 713-464-2100.

Dr. Gonzalez performs surgeries on weekdays.

Q: When can I get my test results?

Results will be given to patients during a two-week post operative appointment.
